Federal Dollars Between Canadian Provinces. Who gives and who takes?

One of the most enduring conversations in Canada is: which provinces give and which ones take. 


Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario have all historically contributed more towards Federal Government revenues than they have received in Federal tax dollars spent within their province. 


On the other hand, the other seven provinces have consistently benefited to a greater extent than they have paid in. 


Not shown on the chart? Canada's three territories which far and away receive the most per capita support compared to revenue provided. 


As we enter into what is hopefully a successful Nation Building era, it leaves us hopeful that some of these provinces can close the gap.
